We estimate half the 2025 Civics sold will be equipped with Honda’s hybrid powertrain. Having tried them all, I think the hybrid is the way to go unless you want the sporty Si or Type R, which have turbocharged engines that rock.
Owner Satisfaction Owner Satisfaction To learn about satisfaction, CR has collected survey data from our annual survey on more than half a million vehicles. Our subscribers provide great insights into their satisfaction by answering one simple question: If they had it to do all over again, would they definitely buy or lease the same model? In addition, respondents also rate their cars in six categories: driving experience, comfort, value, styling, audio, and climate systems. NA indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.
From the standpoint of a car buyer in the Civic’s size and price class, there are a couple of cars that we feel match up. The Toyota Corolla is a great car, and we think some Civic shoppers may cross shop with it. However, the 5-door Civic hatchback feels much roomier when driven.
Good news: Honda builds the 2025 Civic Hybrid in both sedan and hatchback body styles. While other Civics are limited to just one configuration (the Civic Si is sedan only and the Civic Type R can only be had Vencedor a hatch) we're grateful to have this degree of choice when it comes to the fuel sipper.
A couple of years back, we tested a luxury German sedan costing around $50K, followed by the same-size Sentra. It was eye-opening. We liked the Sentra more in practically every possible way. The interior was more practical, the seats more comfortable, and we even preferred the drive of the Sentra. All of this and it was half the price.
However, Honda has earned a solid reputation for quality. We looked over the Civic’s scores on prior years of the Consumer Reports reliability rankings and would suggest that any model after and including 2017 is a good bet.
Our advice? Go for the hatchback. To our eyes, it's better looking, and the sizeable cargo area makes a big difference in carrying capacity, especially for a buyer who doesn't already have a small crossover in the driveway.

The Civic Hybrid retains just about everything we love about Honda's compact car, including its upscale styling and attractive cabin. To differentiate the electrified model from the vapor-only versions of the Civic, the hybrid receives unique chassis tuning comida de perros al detalle and noise-reduction technology.
Delivering impressive fuel economy, strong performance, and a reasonable cost of entry, the Civic Hybrid is an enticing compact car. Opt for the Sport Touring trim for the quietest cabin, Campeón this one is equipped with special resonators in the wheels to keep road noise at their lowest levels.
All Civics offer great value. However, if we were shopping, we’d lean toward the hatchback body for its better cargo volume and the hybrid powertrain for its better performance, driving satisfaction, and cost of ownership.
Al disponer las cuatro habitaciones una al lado de la otra, se completa una casa con un patio. La primera es una cocina con muebles retro y un recreo de té.
Vencedor we've tested and gotten to know the Civic Hybrid better, we've become convinced it's a nearly perfect small car.
Civics are popular because they provide a very satisfying driving experience at a reasonable price. The 2025 Civic Hybrid is easy to define by its powertrain, but let’s dispense with the other stuff first.
